We have bigger houses but smaller families;
more conveniences, but less time.
We have more degrees but less sense;
more knowledge but less judgment;
more experts, but more problems;
more medicines but less healthiness.
We’ve been all the way to the moon and back,
but have trouble in crossing the street to meet our new neighbor.
We built more computers to hold more copies than ever,
But have less real communication;
We have become long on quantity,
but short on quality.
These are times of fast foods but slow digestion;
Tall men but short characters;
Steep profits but shallow relationships.
It’s a time when there is much in the window
But nothing in the room. –Authorship unknown
Lots to think about! Just so you know, I love reading your posts-you and Mike are such a good match and I can see you both tackling the changes that need to be made for a better future. The politicians rant and rave, but it will be the people like you who will find better ways to live, use our energy resources and our environment responsibly, and attend to the basic needs and quality of life of the majority of people, who will really make a difference.
You have our encouragement and love!
Thanks, Diane! This is such a sweet comment and it lit up my face with a smile. I’m so happy to have your encouragement and love! And I’m really glad that you’ve been enjoying the posts. I hope that this blog will be a good way to spread the green word. 🙂
