We all deserve a homemade apple crumble at least once during the Fall. Here’s an easy one to make (as long as you’re still able to find apples this year after a difficult harvest…).
You’ll need:
- 6 apples, cored and chopped (I don’t peel them, but you could if you’re particular)
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup dry sweetener
- 1 cup rolled oat flakes
Preheat your oven to 350*. Place the chopped apples into a 9-inch baking dish and sprinkle the cinnamon on top. Stir the butter, flour, sweetener, and oat flakes together in a large bowl. Sprinkle this mix on top of apples and bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Makes 4-6 servings.
I’ve made this every Fall for at least 4 years now — it’s delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Fall-tastic!
I hope you’re continuing to enjoy the sights and sensations of this wonderful time of year!

This looks so yummy! I know my kids will love it.
Anyway, thanks for posting this. I hope you can pop by my blog sometime to say hi…
Thanks for the compliment, Anne. I’ll pop over and see what you’re up to on the Funny Farm this week.
